Energy Resource Center (ERC) is a Colorado-based nonprofit that has helped communities live in safer, healthier, and more energy-efficient homes since 1979. For decades, we’ve provided trusted no-cost home improvements – like furnaces, insulation, water heaters, air sealing, and more – helping families lower utility costs while improving comfort and safety.
Through our Pay It Forward program, homeowners can hire ERC for paid services and receive the same experienced crews, high standards, and care we bring to our nonprofit work. Our technicians treat every home with respect, knowing it’s more than a structure – it’s where people live.
What truly sets ERC apart is our purpose: as a nonprofit, 100% of proceeds paid from projects are reinvested into programs that help Colorado families who couldn’t otherwise afford these upgrades.

Income-qualified households can apply to our Weatherization Assistance Program for free home upgrades, including efficient heating, insulation, appliances, weather stripping, water-saving devices, and health and safety improvements.
For over 30 years, we’ve helped clients lower utility bills and stay safe at home, making other essentials more affordable.
