David has been in weatherization for 20 years. During his time in weatherization, he has had experience in most departments. He was an energy technician, then moved to become a crew leader. After some time as a crew leader, he moved to the furnace department and spent time as a furnace technician. When the need for solar in the San Luis Valley sparked an interest from our funders and partners, David jumped at the chance to become the solar manager for our Alamosa office. David spent hours learning about solar and mastered the field. He and his team were able to pilot solar installations in our clients’ homes, increasing the savings for our low-income clients.

With his experience and drive, David kept climbing the tree and is now the Alamosa Regional Director. He says, “the best part of my job is helping people and seeing the impact that ERC provides to our community”. In his free time, you can find him spending time with his wife, two daughters, and grandson, team roping at rodeos, hunting, and fishing.
