The Energy Resource Center gets to participate in Indy Give again this year!
We received word that ERC was chosen once again to participate in the highly selective Indy Give campaign.
Participating is a great opportunity to create awareness about the work ERC does to help income-qualified families throughout the Pikes Peak Region make energy efficiency home improvements that permanently reduce their utility bills.
What is Indy Give?
Sponsored by the Colorado Springs Independent and the Pikes Peak Community Foundation, Indy Give generates substantial buzz every November through December and encourages everyone in the community, especially young people between 18 and 35, to donate to organizations they believe in.
Indy Give helps area nonprofits raise the money they need to continue providing their valuable services to the community. The campaign also helps organizations build a core of supporters.
Fundraising opportunity
Participating in Indy Give is a fantastic way for ERC to raise money to support our growing efforts.
The Energy Resource Center raised $11,502.50 through Indy Give in 2013.
Those donations enabled ERC to help 629 families permanently reduce their utility bills and make their homes more safe, comfortable, cozy and livable last year.
While helping to improve quality of life, the ERC’s work also enabled families to reduce their need for assistance programs from Colorado Springs Utilities and other agencies.
ERC will do some cool things
To build awareness and momentum behind our Indy Give fundraising efforts, we will be sponsoring some fun community events and offering up creative and rewarding ways for people to contribute to our efforts.
Keep your eyes open for announcements.
How you can help
In order to participate in Indy Give, nonprofits have to secure matching grants from community members, businesses or organizations. We’re looking for some generous patrons to provide matching grants in the following amounts:
- $1,000
- $5,000
- $10,000
Please contact us if you would like to offer a match.
Donate in November
Even if you aren’t able to provide a big matching grant, we’d love to receive a donation – no matter the size – during the campaign.
Our goal is to improve awareness about the good work ERC does for the community. Even the smallest gifts offer awesome encouragement. We’d rather have 1,000 $1 donations than one $1,000 donation. So, please, tell your friends and family about ERC and urge them to Give!
