La Junta/Otero County Housing Authority, Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC), and Energy Resource Center (ERC) recently installed 20 air conditioning units to help elderly and low-income residents living at Lilac Circle in Fowler.
Five crew members from ERC’s Colorado Springs office installed the units thanks to a partnership with the La Junta/Otero County Housing Authority, who helped identify the residents in need, and EOC, who funded the equipment purchase and installation.
“We are thankful for our long-term partnership with Energy Outreach Colorado and this unique opportunity to support the La Junta/Otero County Housing Authority by helping families in need,” said Howard Brooks, CEO of Energy Resource Center, which has offices in Colorado Springs, Alamosa, Denver and Loveland.
Thanks to this project, the vulnerable and low-income families here can be both safe and comfortable in their homes all season long and for many years to come. It’s because of partnerships like these, Energy Resource Center’s services are completely free to qualified residents.
